The Expanse is a great series that takes space a little more seriously than things like Star Wars. It's kind of like comparing Eragon to Harry Potter - both great, but I'm a sucker for good world building.
Space travel is more dangerous - high G-forces are dangerous on the body, and getting a hole in your ship is incredibly dangerous.
The political and alien nature of the show keeps you interested and is a blast to watch!
