Animal Well is Dunkey's first published game. It was very hyped, and I was excited to give it a try (Zac and Ryan both loved it).
I went in without any spoilers, and the gameplay was decent. The movement didn't feel particularly amazing, but the puzzles were fairly well done. The platforming mechanics themselves didn't stand out to me from other platformers. The bubble wand let you chain bubbles together, but I found that out within a few minutes of obtaining the wand. Stuff like that might be more interesting for those who are newer to platformers though.
The part that most people love is the layers to the game. Layer 1 is finishing the game, layer 2 is collecting all the eggs, layer 3 is bunnies, and layer 4 is some extra stuff on top of that. For me, I found it just "tasks" for no reward. It's more fun for me to just look up endings than to drain time solving things without much reward.
