Stardew Valley is an amazing farming game. You're given a piece of land from your grandpa, and you move into pelican town to start your farm. You're able to grow crops, fish, mine, and talk to the villagers throughout your playthrough.

The gameplay loop is fairly addicting. You have to manage your time and energy wisely throughout the day, prioritizing things as you go. It might be near the end of a season, so you have to pick your crops. Or it might be a festival day for you to join the villagers.

Overall it's a lot of fun to build out your farm, especially with a few people to help you get things going. It might be a little slow for some people but it's nice and relaxing.

Along the way

  1. We watched some Shadow and Bone, I cleaned up outside the house (weeding, tree branches), and then we hung out playing Stardew for a while! Stardew has been such a relaxing, sweet time together. I'm glad we found a game that we're both enjoying so much.

  2. Then we played Stardew for a while, and we had some super sweet times with Aletheia! She was so good and smiled quite a bit 🥹

  3. After that, we went home and played Stardew before going to bed 😴

  4. After heading home from Old Navy, we played Stardew for most of the night. We completed the community center!! 🙌

  5. Then we played Stardew for a while 🧑‍🌾 We watched Shadow and Bone during dinner, and we went on a long walk afterwards. The walk was lots of fun, and Aletheia rested during most of it.

  6. We played Stardew for quite a while after the Cathers left. Then Josiah got back from PA and we watched Kiki's delivery which was such a cute movie!

  7. We ended the day playing Stardew together, which is always fun! We went to Cinder - ahem - Ginger Island for the first time 🏝️

  8. We played Stardew for a bit in the afternoon, and then we went to Mr Salsa for dinner. It was pretty good! Definitely a family restaurant since it's not too expensive, and lots of kids were there.

  9. After all those crazy events, we hung out and played Stardew. It's been a crazy but good day!

  10. We played Stardew for most of the afternoon - our farm is looking nice and we're making progress on Ginger Island!

  11. We mostly hung around at home today for vacation. We played Stardew in the morning and went to Cookie Dough Monster for lunch. Their burgers were yummy, and they had a really good toasted marshmallow shake!

  12. We went back home and Aletheia had a good nap for over an hour while we played Stardew. We're making lots of progress!

  13. After all that was complete, we had dinner outside. My table was pretty quiet, but we talked a bit about video games and it was funny to see heads turn after discussing Stardew Valley and Spiritfarer.
